Is there any wrong lane for him to take?

We signed him alone, not his coach who pointed him into that wrong lane in a black out

Many speed skaters cycle, hockey (ehrm I do not mean to say that they also hockey :) ).
Some even won Olympic Gold in both disciplines.
A famous example: Sheila Young.

Another is Candian Clara Hughes but I was just wondering if it's the Smane Sven Kramer.

Hughes...also a phenonomon in sports and mental soo strong.

It is the very same Sven Kramer, who won at least 2 classics for clubteams last season.

After the desastrous innerlane/outerlane-echec he already dropped a few words of switching permanently to cycling somewhere in the future, where he added "ParisRoubaix would be fantastic to ride and to compete there for the win".
And with that, the cyclingworld should be warned. Since when Kramer focusses on something, he is mentally and physically that strong that he usually gets it. His mentality is extraordinary. My guess: he will be back at the Olympics in 2014 to get the 10k gold (he sees that medal as "his" and he wants it back) and after that switch to cycling. He´ll be 28 at the time, so at the top of his power and even an early age for real ´Flandrien´. Currently the cycling is only his training, saw him leading a pursuitgroup of around 40 riders for 10 to 15 km in some semi-classic last year, to close a gap after a fall. Nobody assisted, nobody could assist because of his insane pace, but at the end he closed the gap through the wind along a river. Mind you, he's strong, also on the bike.

But I also read that Kramer calls cycling training "saai" (boring?):

I guess that if he gets on a team that recognizes his talent and puts together a differentiated training scheme, the sky is the limit.

Where our leader Ducarne and some others realize too late that several others made the jump to the frontline,
Claude Thomas holds on with his last strenghts and finishes in the escapegroup. A small but surprising succes.

The few KOM-sprintes leaded to lots off activities, but no serious break was formed today

Image
Asfra protected, guided and launced their secret weapon Howlett, but his riding skills turned out to be to poor to compete seriously
for the stages victory. We kept Thomas up front the GC, that mission succeeded.
